What Does a Raw Food Detox Accomplish?
Most people choose to go on a raw food detox diet when they have been diagnosed with an illness or when they become fed up with their current health situation. Here are a few reasons why going on a diet of raw foods may be worth your while no mater your current state of health.
The problem with cooked and processed foods is that it is full of additives, preservatives, chemicals and other things that I know I cannot even pronounce let alone want to put in my body. Over time these chemicals build up and create a toxic overload in the body.
Not only do these weigh you down both physically and mentally, but the conditions it creates usually leads to even more chemicals in the form of synthetic drugs to treat the symptoms.
Engaging in a raw food diet begins the detox process and lets you get rid of this build up and prevent it from ever returning. Not only do you experience weight loss and increased energy, but you will also find yourself rarely getting sick.
Many people have been able to overcome their poor health conditions through raw food detox. Everything from asthma to acne can be resolved by including raw foods in your diet.
When you first begin your raw food detox you will go through a period of cleansing and will experience some discomfort called detox symptoms. This is just the toxins getting stirred up and carried out by the body. Some of these toxins have been stored in the farthest reaches of your body so you are bound to feel something as they are moved out.
There are some people who just do an occasional cleanse a few times a year to give their body a spring cleansing of sort. Although that may be somewhat beneficial, it really defeats the purpose if you are just going to fill your body up with toxic food all over again.
Why not feel great all the time? A raw food detox is the way to go.

My sentiments exactly. I went raw a little over 3 moths ago. I don’t know why people don’t get it. Pretty simple when you thing about how the human diet has changed just in the last 30 or 40 years.
Nothing looks good in the grocery any more, except the fruits and veggie section.
